Rosacea & Acne

Rosacea is a common inflammatory skin condition characterized by the appearance of dilated blood vessels in the face, flushing and redness in the cheeks, and small pimple like bumps on the face.

I.M. 120’s Rosacea treatment is the newest and best method used to treat the persistent redness and small facial veins caused by Rosacea.  We use IPL (Intense Pulsed Light Therapy) to destroy the dilated blood vessels and restore an even complexion.  Multiple treatments are necessary to achieve the best possible result, and maintenance treatments are recommended for long-term success.

We pair our IPL treatment with medical microdermabrasion for remarkable results and permanent benefits to your skin that can be sustained forever with only occasional maintenance therapy.  In addition to obliterating Rosacea, clients who undergo this treatment get the added benefit of the collagen enhancing, skin smoothing, and wrinkle-fading results that I.M. 120 is known for.

We are proud to say that this two-step process for treating Rosacea is unique to I.M. 120 and has brought relief to many of our clients.

We understand how embarrassing acne can be for both teens and adults.  According to the American Academy of Dermatology, acne afflicts more than 20 million teens and about half of all adults experience mild to moderate acne too. I.M. 120 has several options to treat and help control this common problem.

Peel and Microdermabrasion

An AHA/BHA peel along with a mild Microdermabrasion removes the dead skin cells and unclogs pores prior to the acne light treatment.  This combination of salicylic and glycolic acids helps reduce acne.

I.M 120’s IPL- Intense Pulse Light Therapy

An FDA approved procedure that uses light waves to kill acne-causing bacteria (Propionibacturium Acnes) by using a process called heat shock response.  The heat causes the bacteria to self-destruct and when the bacteria is gone, the pimples disappear.  This is all done without the risk of side effects of antibiotics.  Light therapies have become very popular weapons against treatment-resistant acne.

Photodynamic Therapy

This cutting edge treatment pairs light therapy with ALA (Aminolevulinic Acid).  This combination kills bacteria and shrinks the sebaceous glands.  The process is simple: after applying, the ALA solution is allowed to absorb into the skin for 30 minutes, and then the acne light is administered.  Studies have shown that after 2-4 treatments, skin remained clear for six months to two years.
